I purchased my house in 2005, and for almost 3 years I stared at the 275 Gallon oil tank in my basement.... then the furnace got upgraded and it was no longer needed.Several plans were considered, but ultimately a simple BBQ with lid style was the goal.Main features were to include:Upper and lower stacks for heat transfer and temperature control.
- A large grill grate surface, and;
- The ability to add a rotisserie system
I picked up a trailer for $35 the the roaster was mounted too, some crap metal, and an old buzz box welder.
Also, a neighbor graciously donated an 1880 stove which was promptly installed and dusted into the main grill area.
